FONDOP Achievement Report for the Academic Year 2023-2024

Dear Donors and Friends of FONDOP

The New Secondary IV National Exam was administered last week, marking the formal end of the 202324 academic year. Despite political turmoil and national uncertainty, Southeast Department students were fortunate to have a peaceful and productive school year.

The attached Achievement Summary chart shows that FONDOP was once again able to help 81 students with their tuition payments.

  • Two little girls attended preschool.
  • Twenty-three students were enrolled in primary school.
  • Seventeen students in the third cycle.
  • Twenty-nine at the New Secondary levels, (10th grade to Baccalaureate). Three young people went to professional schools.
  • Six university students benefited from our grant.

A young orphan who attends school in Les Cayes has received a special assistance.

Furthermore, FONDOP assisted a financially strained school by contributing to the salaries of four elementary teachers.

We were able to carry on the work we started in 2009-2010 because of the trust and support of our friends and donors.

Parents are starting to request assistance for the upcoming school year. Tuition expenses have increased. Our primary purpose remains to help as many students as possible. This will only be possible with your help, so we’re counting on your customary goodwill.

On behalf of the children and their families, we thank you for your prior donations and anticipate your future contributions.

Bay timoun yo chans pou yo jwi dwa yo epi konn devwa yo!
